From Nerves to Loving It: My First Webinar Experience with Kerfuffle

I recently took part in my first webinar with Kerfuffle, and if I'm honest, I went in with that familiar mix of nerves and excitement.

Talking about CRM migrations is something I do every day. But doing it live, with an audience, and questions I hadn't prepared for, was a different thing entirely.

It turned out to be one of the best things I've done.

David made the whole session feel easy. It wasn't a formal interview, it was a proper conversation. We laughed, talked honestly about the realities of agency life, and I never felt like I had to perform.

One of the things I enjoyed most was being able to talk about a topic I genuinely care about, with someone who actually understood it. That doesn't happen as often as you'd think, and it made the conversation feel natural rather than rehearsed.

There were a few unexpected questions thrown in too, which I won't pretend didn't catch me off guard. But that's part of it. It pushed me to think on the spot and draw on real experience rather than rehearsed answers, which is always more useful anyway.

Looking back, it reinforced something I say often: "We'll fix it later" is probably the most expensive sentence in a CRM migration.

The agencies that struggle most after go-live are rarely the ones who moved too slowly. They're the ones who moved too fast, without checking what they had first.

I'd do it again in a heartbeat. And if you're thinking about your own CRM migration, or wondering whether your data is really ready, I'm always happy to have a straight conversation about it. Find out more at russou.co.uk.
