A conversation that has never, once ended well.

"We just need to migrate the data across. Shouldn't take long."

"How much data?"

"Oh not much. A few thousand contacts."

(It is 47,000 contacts.)

"And is the data clean?"

"Mostly, yeah. Pretty clean."

(There are 11 fields called some variation of "Status". Nobody agrees what any of them mean.)

"Any custom integrations we should know about?"

"No no, very straightforward."

(There is a spreadsheet. There is always a spreadsheet. It lives outside the CRM entirely and contains information that exists nowhere else. It was built by someone called Gary. Gary left in 2021. Nobody has opened it since, because nobody knows what will happen if they do.)

"Has the team bought in to the new system?"

"Completely. Very excited."

(Two members of the sales team have already said they'll "just keep using Excel." One has said this loudly. Twice.)

"And the go-live date?"

"Three weeks."

We say this with love.

We have had this conversation more times than we can count. And every single time, without exception, the project was NOT straightforward.

That's okay.

That's actually why we exist.

If your "quick migration" is starting to feel less quick, we've seen it all before, and we know exactly what to do with it.
